Philadelphia Personal Care

I seek to be seen as a person with value, not as a burden or a job.

We understand that every individual has unique needs – that’s why PPH pioneered a model of Personal Care that offers residents multiple levels of care. Each resident has a customized resident assessment and support plan tailored to their specific needs. If you are searching for a Philadelphia senior community, PPH’s Personal Care model is a great fit for you.

What is Personal Care?

Personal care provides assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and medication administration along with escorts to all life enrichment activities and meals. As with all senior living services provided at PPH, our staff is committed to ensuring you receive care, comfort and convenience. Our caring, trained and certified staff are on site 24/7 for your medical assurance.

Personal Care at PPH

At PPH, we offer personal care in both a residential senior community setting, as well as with short term respite care. Our Philadelphia personal care community provides a safe and secure environment, with plenty of opportunities to socialize.

The Webb Program is a 26-suite personal care facility for those who are able to demonstrate financial need. The Webb Pavilion offers private accommodations with powder rooms and all the high-quality services and care levels provided for conventional personal care residents.

Short Term Respite Care

At PPH, we offer respite care, short-term senior care in our Philadelphia personal care community. Our respite care community welcomes seniors need short term care after rehab. After therapy, respite care residents enjoy all the amenities offered to our permanent residents. Our Philadelphia respite care also offers short term care for seniors to provide caretakers rest. Families and caretakers can be assured their loved one is being cared for by our friendly, experienced staff while they are on vacation or enjoy a much-needed rest. Seniors who would like an opportunity to experience PPH for themselves before making a final decision about moving in are welcome to stay as part of our respite care program. Many respite care residents enjoy their stay so much they decide to make PPH their forever home.

FAQs

Q: How do I know what kind of care my family member needs?

When you schedule a tour of PPH, we will not only show you around the Philadelphia personal care community, we will address any questions or concerns you have. Generally, someone who is unable to take care of daily living tasks such as dressing, eating, bathing, medicine management, or other similar living tasks is probably in need of personal care services. Personal care, along with other care needs are determined after we have a chance to meet potential residents, evaluate their individual needs, and design a custom plan unique to each person. If you are looking for an assisted living community in Philadelphia, our personal care community at PPH could be perfect for you.

Q: Should my family member try a respite care short term stay before moving into to PPH?

A short term senior care stay is not required before a future resident moves in, but we recommend potential residents give it a try. By trying out our Philadelphia respite care, seniors have the chance to become familiar with the buildings, meet new friends and see what it is like to be a part of our PPH family. This helps seniors and their families feel much more comfortable with the move to our Philadelphia personal care community.

What Residents Say

"In my nine years at PPH, I’ve grown to like it very much. At first, I felt like a stranger and then as I began to talk to people, we increasingly became good friends. A way to meet people is to join clubs. I’m now part of the PPH Auxiliary. I love helping with their flea markets because you never know what you can find. Recently, I’ve joined an evening quilting class. I love that I can continue to enjoy my life outside of PPH while experiencing the offers here.…especially the pool! Everything is just so convenient.

– Lucille Hite, Independent Living resident

What Families Say

"My mom is sooo happy at PPH, I can’t even describe it in strong enough words. She’s met so many new friends and these ladies do EVERYTHING together! She sees Dad every day in Pathways, but can have her life too. She’s gone to so many activities and I think I’ve already been to Scoops with her at least 15 times. She loves the dining room and Bistro too. My sister, Ilene, and I are so delighted that Mom is happy.......Wow, it feels like Mom’s been there about 2 years—but it’s only 2 months!! That’s how comfortable and natural it feels for her – and for all of us.
