Philadelphia Personal Care

I seek to be seen as a person with value, not as a burden or a job.

In Personal Care, we provide a safe and secure environment, which affords privacy and opportunities for socialization in any of the floor lounges. We offer assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication administration along with escorts to all life enrichment activities and meals. As with all the senior living services provided at PPH, our staff is committed to ensuring you receive care, comfort and convenience. Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your medical assurance.

We know that every individual has unique needs – that’s why PPH pioneered a model of Personal Care that offers residents multiple levels of care. Each resident has a personal care management plan that is tailored to their specific needs. If you are searching for a community, PPH’s Personal Care model is a great fit for your needs.

The Webb Program is a 26-suite affordable personal care facility for those who are able to demonstrate financial need. The Webb Pavilion offers private accommodations with powder rooms and all the high quality services and care levels provided for conventional personal care residents.

Respite Care offers short-term stays in our personal care area. Families and caretakers can be assured that their loved one is being cared for by our friendly, capable staff while they are on vacation or enjoy a much-needed rest. It also allows residents an opportunity to experience PPH before making a final decision or while they recuperate before going home. After therapy, respite residents enjoy all the same amenities that are offered to our permanent residents. Many respite care residents enjoy their stay so much that they make PPH their permanent home.

Q: Are dining options available?

Enjoy the service of our friendly staff in Main at Martin’s Mill, our formal dining room where lunch and dinner are served restaurant style. If you are looking for a lighter fair, visit the Bistro at 6500 or Scoops, our popular ice cream parlor. Scoops also offers sandwiches, soups, hot dogs, hamburgers, and a daily entrée special. The PPH Café offers breakfast and lunch options. Whatever option you choose, you will not go hungry at PPH.

What Residents Say

"In my two years at PPh, I’ve grown to like it very much. At first, I felt like a stranger and then as I began to talk to people, we increasingly became good friends. A way to meet people is to join clubs. I’m now part of the PPh Auxiliary. I love helping with their flea markets because you never know what you can find. Recently, I’ve joined an evening quilting class. I love that I can continue to enjoy my life outside of PPh while experiencing the offers here.….especially the pool! Everything is just so convenient.

– Lucille Hite, Independent Living resident

What Families Say

"My mom is sooo happy at PPh, I can’t even describe it in strong enough words. She’s met so many new friends and these ladies do EVERYTHING together! She sees Dad every day in Pathways, but can have her life too. She’s gone to so many activities and I think I’ve already been to Scoops with her at least 15 times. She loves the dining room and Bistro too. My sister, Ilene, and I are so delighted that Mom is happy.......Wow, it feels like Mom’s been there about 2 years—but it’s only 2 months!! That’s how comfortable and natural it feels for her – and for all of us.

– Rhonda Frenkel, daughter of residents Jack & Bernice Segal
