Tribute Giving

Recognize Someone Special

Tribute gifts are a wonderful way of recognizing someone special. Your gift represents a lasting tribute to a special life while supporting PPH. Tribute gifts also can be dedicated to Benevolent Care or Area of Greatest Need.

Memorial Gifts

A Memorial Gift celebrates an individual who one admired, loved, and respected. Memorial Gifts provide a lasting tribute to the important role he or she played in your life and your organization. These gifts establish a permanent link with the past and encourage others to participate in a vision for the future.

Honorary Gifts

With an honorary gift, you recognize someone special or commemorate a milestone celebration such as a birthday, anniversary, graduation or wedding. Your gift truly means the world to the recognized party – while making a world of difference to others here. If you like, we’ll be sure to notify your indicated designee.

Recognize Your “Guardian Angel”

Is there a special doctor, nurse or other PPH employee who made a difference in your life? A Guardian Angel gift is a great way to say “thank you” for exemplary work. A PPH employee honored with your donation is recognized with a custom-crafted lapel pin, is featured in our newsletters and honored during a special presentation.

Pave the Walk of Remembrance

For a gift of $100, family members, friends, businesses and organizations have their names or the names of a loved one permanently inscribed on a brick lining the pathway of our Remembrance Garden. A beautiful and serene garden at PPH serves as a special place for meditation, healing and remembrance.

Families also may wish to ask for tribute gifts through an obituary. The notice in the obituary might read, “In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The Philadelphia Protestant Home, Attention to Development Department, 6401 Martins Mill Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111.”

What Residents Say

"In my nine years at PPH, I’ve grown to like it very much. At first, I felt like a stranger and then as I began to talk to people, we increasingly became good friends. A way to meet people is to join clubs. I’m now part of the PPH Auxiliary. I love helping with their flea markets because you never know what you can find. Recently, I’ve joined an evening quilting class. I love that I can continue to enjoy my life outside of PPH while experiencing the offers here.…especially the pool! Everything is just so convenient.

What Families Say

"My mom is sooo happy at PPH, I can’t even describe it in strong enough words. She’s met so many new friends and these ladies do EVERYTHING together! She sees Dad every day in Pathways, but can have her life too. She’s gone to so many activities and I think I’ve already been to Scoops with her at least 15 times. She loves the dining room and Bistro too. My sister, Ilene, and I are so delighted that Mom is happy.......Wow, it feels like Mom’s been there about 2 years—but it’s only 2 months!! That’s how comfortable and natural it feels for her – and for all of us.
