PPH Garden Party

The 2022 PPH Garden Party for Benevolent Care, held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, was a tremendous success! The PPH ACE Courtyard and Café was styled with simple and chic décor creating an elegant and charming outdoor ambiance where guests enjoyed delicious food and took in the soft and classical sounds of the harp played by Philadelphia harpist, Gloria Galante.

PPH President & CEO John Dubyk welcomed guests before introducing professional auctioneer Mike Ivankovich to kick off our first-ever Live Auction. Chairperson of the PPH Board of Directors and resident family member Jean Gibson shared her testimony on how contributing to PPH Benevolent Care does indeed make an impact. Jean’s grandmother was a recipient of Benevolent Care many years ago. Benevolent Care relieved her family of the financial burden and enabled her grandmother to age with dignity in the community she had come to call home.  Today, Jean and her family, including her father and independent living resident, Ron, continue to advance the mission of PPH through their gifts of time, talent, and treasure.

Director of Fund Development Deanna Keough closed out the program by thanking everyone in attendance including the many generous sponsors, donors, and patrons whose gifts helped to raise more than $113,000 for Benevolent Care.

Benevolent Care is the assurance that residents will remain at PPH with quality care and support services regardless of their financial circumstances.  PPH was founded on this culture of giving more than 130 years ago and continues today because of our donors and sponsors like you.

Thank you for your investment in our mission.

What Residents Say

"In my nine years at PPH, I’ve grown to like it very much. At first, I felt like a stranger and then as I began to talk to people, we increasingly became good friends. A way to meet people is to join clubs. I’m now part of the PPH Auxiliary. I love helping with their flea markets because you never know what you can find. Recently, I’ve joined an evening quilting class. I love that I can continue to enjoy my life outside of PPH while experiencing the offers here.…especially the pool! Everything is just so convenient.

What Families Say

"My mom is sooo happy at PPH, I can’t even describe it in strong enough words. She’s met so many new friends and these ladies do EVERYTHING together! She sees Dad every day in Pathways, but can have her life too. She’s gone to so many activities and I think I’ve already been to Scoops with her at least 15 times. She loves the dining room and Bistro too. My sister, Ilene, and I are so delighted that Mom is happy.......Wow, it feels like Mom’s been there about 2 years—but it’s only 2 months!! That’s how comfortable and natural it feels for her – and for all of us.

– Rhonda Frenkel, daughter of resident Bernice Segal
