Although YouTube has a reputation as a young person’s domain, recent statistics tell a different story. YouTube is becoming more popular among people of all ages, with more than 1 billion videos watched, worldwide, every day. In 2019, over 80 percent of 45- to 55-year-olds watched videos on YouTube. Over half of people over 65 watched YouTube videos.
With all of the viewers in their age bracket, YouTube can be a great second-act career for people 65 and up, or a way to share passions and interests with others.
