Strengthening Connectons: The Campaign for Campus-wide WiFi

During unprecedented times, we’re asking you to send a strong signal of caring.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we’re unable to safely hold this year’s gala. Yet, we still need your help! Nearly 30% of total yearly contributions come from our annual gala. We thank you, our loyal and generous sponsors, for this support.

The pandemic has been trying for the entire world, and PPH is no different. In fact, our senior residents are the most at-risk population for this virus. While social distancing may help prevent infection, it also brings feelings of loneliness and social isolation.

Under the leadership of our new President and CEO, John Dubyk, we have made the decision to replace this year’s traditional gala with a fundraising campaign to back a critical need: providing strong, secure wireless internet throughout the PPH campus. This project was in the works prior to the pandemic, but COVID-19 has underscored the absolute importance of connection, and the need to bring this dream to reality without delay.

A sponsor appreciation reception will be held at PPH in the spring of 2021 to recognize the partners who help us to fulfill our mission of providing seniors the opportunity to achieve their highest possible quality of life.

It’s time to connect us all through campus-wide Wi-Fi. Your support can make it happen.

Support campus-wide Wi-Fi

Why Wi-Fi? The benefits keep streaming in.

Robust technology infrastructure, throughout the PPH campus, is the building block for enhanced communications, resident programming and improved operations that will positively impact residents, team members, families, visitors and partners like you—now and for years to come. Here are some advantages:

  • Improve resident health through telehealth appointments, especially in our skilled nursing center
  • Keep residents aware of the latest news, announcements and schedules
  • Enhance safety, security and wellness through smart technology in residences
  • Promote social health and avoid isolation by connecting residents with friends and family through video chats
  • Engage residents through live-streamed life-enrichment programs, educational classes and worship services
  • Enable residents, staff and visitors to easily connect to the internet in community areas of the campus
  • Help improve operations so that employees can perform their jobs more effectively and efficiently

What Residents Say

"In my two years at PPH, I’ve grown to like it very much. At first, I felt like a stranger and then as I began to talk to people, we increasingly became good friends. A way to meet people is to join clubs. I’m now part of the PPH Auxiliary. I love helping with their flea markets because you never know what you can find. Recently, I’ve joined an evening quilting class. I love that I can continue to enjoy my life outside of PPH while experiencing the offers here.….especially the pool! Everything is just so convenient.

– Lucille Hite, Independent Living resident

What Families Say

"My mom is sooo happy at PPH, I can’t even describe it in strong enough words. She’s met so many new friends and these ladies do EVERYTHING together! She sees Dad every day in Pathways, but can have her life too. She’s gone to so many activities and I think I’ve already been to Scoops with her at least 15 times. She loves the dining room and Bistro too. My sister, Ilene, and I are so delighted that Mom is happy.......Wow, it feels like Mom’s been there about 2 years—but it’s only 2 months!! That’s how comfortable and natural it feels for her – and for all of us.
