About Us?

REALLY, IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU!

We’ve modernized, but we always remember our original purpose: Providing a quality and secure lifestyle for our 62 and better community members.

On March 4, 1890, the noble vision of our founding ministers – to better tend to the needs of aging parishioners – became a life-changing reality. Then, The Philadelphia Protestant Home (PPH) was incorporated into the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and we welcomed our first resident, Maria Magdalena Seitz.

PPH has since become an iconic leader in providing those 62 or better access to an active, purposeful lifestyle, affordable quality care and long-term peace of mind.

Today, PPH is home to 600 residents experiencing the legacy of superior independent living, personal care, rehabilitation, memory care and skilled nursing in a loving, family-oriented, inclusive and wholesome Life Plan Community.

PPH is one of the best values in Life Plan Communities in Philadelphia. Compared to similar communities that offer a full continuum of care, our one-time entrance fees are quite affordable, and monthly rents start as low as $1,066 a month, which includes dining and access to all the amenities, wellness and aquatics center, educational and social programming and much more. In fact, residents as far away as New York City move to PPH for this very reason.

Our gated campus community is entirely secure, and we are staffed with skilled professionals dedicated to our residents’ safety and comfort. We are proud that many of our team members and their family members choose PPH during retirement.

We see ourselves as a vital community hub for both our residents and local neighborhoods. Please check out our Events page for upcoming programs and offers that are accessible to people age 62 or better.

We hope you’ve had a positive experience with the level of service offered by PPH Family. Please take a moment to leave a review by completing the form below. Your comments are important to us!

My mom, has been a resident for almost twenty five years. She has loved every minute of her independent living. Eleanore has been a volunteer, participated in many of the activities offered and is still enjoying her apartment at the age of 101.
Excellent care, caring staff, clean and comfortable.
Kim McGeary was the first person I contacted regarding personal care for a friend. She was very informative and took me on a tour.Kim led me through the steps and contacted the people who could help with the admission.
My mother lived on the 2nd floor in Pathways. They took excellent care of her since I couldn't. The staff was very attentive and the place was very clean. My mother in law is currently on the 4th floor and the excellent care continues.
My Mom was admitted from hospital to skilled nursing at PPH. They did a wonderful job with her physical therapy and medical care. She is now in personal care at PPH and is thriving. I am so grateful for the wonderful care she has received at PPH.
