A Bright New Year at PPH!

Posted on: Dec 28, 2017

2017 Year-in-Review: The new Pathways Lobby, refreshed PPH entryway, PPH Leaders at the ACE Center & Gardens Grand Opening, the new onsite pharmacy

The new year is a great time to make plans for the future, and look ahead with hope, joy and optimism. For some, that might mean a commitment to healthy living; for others, perhaps it’s a promise to reconnect with loved ones and friends with whom we’ve lost touch.

At PPH, the new year brings with it some exciting advancements and improvements to our community. Over the past year, we have celebrated the opening of the ACE Center & Gardens, which includes the new Art Studio, Library, Wellness & Aquatics Center, Craft Room, Fellowship Meeting Room and three state-of-the-art private Personal Care Rooms. In addition, we celebrated the unveiling of our new Donor Dedication Pathway, which honors loved ones and those residents, families and supporters who have made possible the capital and programmatic improvements we all enjoy today.

In 2017, we also welcomed the beautiful new Pathways Lobby, which features a cozy fireplace and ample seating to relax, read a book or connect with friends and neighbors. And just around the corner, the new PPH pharmacy officially opened for business in the fall.

In the new year, PPH leadership is delighted to continue this momentum, and is eager to complete nearly 40 new resident parking spaces, which will not only improve parking access on campus, but will also provide a beautiful backdrop once the landscaping is complete. Furthermore, 2018 will see a new dining room in Personal Care, that will allow better ease of access and more enjoyable mealtimes for residents and staff.

As we look ahead with hope and full hearts, we continue to be abundantly grateful for the incredible residents, neighbors and staff who support PPH and make this community the warm and welcoming place we all love. We have plenty to look forward to in 2018, and we hope you will continue to join us as we celebrate these new improvements and milestones in our community.

From PPH leadership and staff, here’s to a healthy and prosperous 2018!

What Residents Say

"In my nine years at PPH, I’ve grown to like it very much. At first, I felt like a stranger and then as I began to talk to people, we increasingly became good friends. A way to meet people is to join clubs. I’m now part of the PPH Auxiliary. I love helping with their flea markets because you never know what you can find. Recently, I’ve joined an evening quilting class. I love that I can continue to enjoy my life outside of PPH while experiencing the offers here.…especially the pool! Everything is just so convenient.

What Families Say

"My mom is sooo happy at PPH, I can’t even describe it in strong enough words. She’s met so many new friends and these ladies do EVERYTHING together! She sees Dad every day in Pathways, but can have her life too. She’s gone to so many activities and I think I’ve already been to Scoops with her at least 15 times. She loves the dining room and Bistro too. My sister, Ilene, and I are so delighted that Mom is happy.......Wow, it feels like Mom’s been there about 2 years—but it’s only 2 months!! That’s how comfortable and natural it feels for her – and for all of us.

– Rhonda Frenkel, daughter of resident Bernice Segal
